I am married to Tony, and we have two daughters, Kaela, who was born in August 2002 and currently attends Bourton Meadow Acadamy, and Rebecca, who was born in January 2008. We have two cats, Skittle and Merlin.
Tony and I co-childmind – Tony is also an OFSTED registered and approved childminder. Together to deliver the EYFS to the under 5′s, we believe that the first years in a child’s life are the most important and good foundations are made through education, learning and behaviour mixed with plenty of fun.
I am originally from London and moved to Buckingham in July 2005. I studied Humanities at university and have a 2:2 degree. I have worked as a classroom assistant in a junior school and as a special needs assistant in a secondary school and have experience of working with children of all ages.
Tony was born in Maidenhead and completed his Mathematics degree at Oxford University, he has worked with special needs children on sailing holidays and has been my assistant since June 2010 before undertaking his own training and qualifying as a childminder in June 2011.
I began childminding in April 2006 and have looked after a number of children, their ages ranging from a 4 month old baby to a 12 year old.
We are both members of the National Childminding Association and have completed an Introduction to Childminding course accredited by the National Childminding Association and we have both passed the Level 3 Diploma in Home Based Child Care.
We are First Aid Trained and hold a certificate in Early Years First Aid.
We have business insurance on both cars and have public liability insurance for the home. Tony and I hold certificates in Child Protection and I hold Level 2 Food Safety, our home is registered with the Environmental Health Office as we serve hot and cold meals, and we have been inspected and approved by them.
